Product Features:
Suitable for young patients with maxillary hypoplasia and normally developed mandible. Indicated for average and low angle cases; use cautiously for high angle cases. The optimal treatment window is early mixed dentition, preferably before 8 years old. Expansion screw can be added if transverse maxillary discrepancy exists. The appliance works together with extraoral device to deliver orthopedic force and stimulate maxillary growth. Bonded fixed type, removable type and TAD-supported type are available.
Note:
Wear as instructed by the clinician. Elastics connect intraoral and extraoral components, force of 300–500g per side. Traction direction is forward and downward, at -30° to -15° relative to the occlusal plane. Daily wearing time no less than 12–14 hours.
Other precautions are the same as removable orthodontic appliances.
Model requirement: Maxillary model with clear dentition and no bubbles. If an occlusal pad is required, a mandibular model (with wax bite registration optional) is needed to define the bite opening range.
