Product Features:
Indicated for patients with mouth breathing but unobstructed nasal airway, or those with thumb sucking, lip biting and other harmful oral habits. It is also applied in early treatment for patients with inadequate lip muscle function, short upper lip or lip incompetence. Worn at night or used as an auxiliary lip trainer during daytime. It acts on upper anterior teeth to restrain maxillary growth. The buccal shields on both sides facilitate posterior arch expansion. It can be combined with traction accessories for lip muscle training.
Note:
Ventilation holes can be added on the front of the vestibular shield, but it is not suitable for patients with severe nasopharyngeal airway obstruction. Maxillary and mandibular models are required with complete dentition and clear vestibular & soft tissue anatomy.
