Tongue Spring Bite Plate Appliance for Anterior Crossbite Correction
Used to correct dental and functional anterior crossbite in primary and mixed dentition. Expansion screw and traction hooks can be added according to clinical demands.
Wear as instructed by clinician, follow-up visit approximately every 2 weeks. The tongue spring can be activated for 1 mm. Retention clasps can be adjusted as required. After crossbite is corrected, the bite pad can be ground down gradually to facilitate posterior occlusion establishment.
Full-time wear is recommended, wearing during meals is preferred. Keep oral cavity and appliance clean after meals.
Cleaning method is the same as removable orthodontic appliances.
Model requirement: Maxillary model with clear dentition and no bubbles. If precise control of posterior bite opening is needed, mandibular model and wax bite registration are required to release the locking of lower anterior crossbite.
