Guided Bow Tongue Spring Bite Plate Appliance
Product Features:
Suitable for anterior crossbite patients with upright or lingually inclined upper anterior teeth and habitual mandibular protrusion. The guided bow guides the mandible backward; it can retract lower anterior teeth when spaced. The tongue springs move upper anterior teeth labially.
Note:
Wear as instructed by the clinician. Adjustment protocol is the same as tongue spring bite plate appliance. The guided bow is generally not activated; light activation is allowed for cases with spaced lower anterior teeth.
Cleaning method is the same as removable orthodontic appliances.
Model requirement: Maxillary and mandibular models with clear dentition and no bubbles. Wax bite registration is required. Vertical opening height is set to release the locking of lower anterior crossbite; sagittal position is where the mandible can be retracted to an edge-to-edge relationship.
