Product Features:

Designed for growing patients with maxillary protrusion and mandibular retrognathism. It provides vertical control, advances the mandible forward while restraining maxillary growth. Custom bent or prefabricated facebow is available and used together with headgear. Two types: anterior facebow type and posterior facebow type. The anterior type controls vertical growth of anterior maxilla, intrudes upper anterior teeth to restrain clockwise rotation of occlusal plane and improve gummy smile; the posterior type mainly controls the posterior segment of maxilla. 

Note:

Wear strictly as instructed by the clinician. For low-angle Class II cases, the facebow is aligned toward the first permanent molars with an angle of 15–30° above the occlusal plane and relatively straight traction to produce mild posteroinferior rotation of the mandible. For high-angle Class II open-bite cases, extend the facebow and increase the high-pull angle.

Cleaning method is the same as removable orthodontic appliances.

Base plate design: Covers palatal cusps of premolars and molars interproximally. The labial base wraps upper anterior teeth down to the cervical margin. Lower incisors do not contact the lingual base; the base covers the incisal edge of lower incisors to prevent proclination.

Model requirement: Maxillary and mandibular models with wax bite registration.

Occlusal reconstruction: Mandible can be advanced edge-to-edge in one step, about 6–10 mm. Wax bite height is 5–8 mm; up to 10 mm for vertical growth pattern cases for better control of upper posterior alveolar height.

Extraoral force: 200–300g per side for mixed dentition, 400–500g per side for permanent dentition.
